Various artists join together to sing in various languages about the reality of global warming.

Luke Skyscraper James
Guitarist, singer, writer, and actor. He first came to San Francisco in 1979 when his band Fáshiön was touring with The Police. During his time with Fáshiön Luke toured with a who’s-who of 1978-80 bands, including U2, The Ramones, The Cramps, B52s, Squeeze, Patti Smith, John Cale, and The Stranglers. He has played guitar and sang with more bands than he can remember. The last time he came to San Francisco was 1988, and he’s still there.

Anibal BRESCO
Une voix d’Argentine, pour la chanson sud – américaine et le Tango. Chanteur argentin avec une vaste expérience dans le domaine de la musique traditionnelle argentine et du tango ainsi que de la musique classique, il joue aussi de la flute des Andes et des percussions . Né à Buenos Aires, il a fait ses études musicales au Conservatoire National d’Argentine.
Minoru TAKASUGI
Comédien, metteur en scène et chanteur. Il interprète des chansons françaises en japonais, notamment celles de Aznavour et de Montand. Actuellement il joue « L’Homme de la Mancha » de Cervantes. Il a participé à la lecture du « 99 Haïkus » / Garlo.
高杉稔 : 1954年、日本の青森県出身。俳優、演出家、歌手。
歌は主にアズナブールやモンタンなどのフランスの曲を日本語で表現する。
現在は「Man Of La Mancha」の朗読ミュージカル（Reading Musical）を手がけている。俳句99」- Garlo – のCD 制作に参加。

July 8 9h Yumiko send me a take of Minoru’s voice just to check the unwanted sounds. A quick verification in the studio, take is clean. Minoru did many takes ? Edit & mix during the day w a music I prepare with more sanshin. YEPEE Bravo Yumiko & Minoru, tha’ts great.
July 6 We have the title, that’s SURF’S UP / Various Artists. Working with Anibal on the spanish lyrics & singing rehearsals. Benoit finished a video clip, well that’s not a video clip. It’s great.
July 5 No recording studio today. Ears & head need to breathe. Just a look on internet to find some crazy words from anti climate change … we will use them.
July4 Anibal is very interessed, he began to rework the spanish translation. No news from Minoru in Japan, He wants to work alone.
July 3 Skype this morning w Minoru who is getting to record in his home in Kumamoto. Speed test of the mike. That’s cool. Final mix w Pascal Monjanel. Pascal just added an equalisation on the whole mix… that’s fine. & a singer from Argentina livin in Bordeaux interessed by the idea. I send him the lyrics.
July 2 Cristian, a spanish musician livin in Bordeaux didnt find time to come in studio. His wife just got a baby. Best wishes.
July 1 Ok w Luke to make some modifications on the mix.

June 25 two spanish singers living in Bordeaux will come to listen to the song next week.
June 24 Great adaptation from Minoru in japanese. Yumiko going to Japan next week, she will go w a mike & a recorder. They will transform Minoru’s house into a rec studio. Can’t wait to see pics & to listen to the voice tracks.
The singer Juan was thinking about is fool of job till september. What if we look for a spanish guy or woman interessed by the political part of the song and not a singer ? a spanish spoken word version ? Let’s see.
June 19 Got a 2nd version from Luke after he begun to work on the singing.. That looks great.
